The Crystal Quest Big Blue SMART Whole House Water Filter treats water for your whole home at a recommended 6–8 gallons per minute, sized for households of 2–3 people. It needs no electricity and no backwashing, and cartridges are easy to change.
Every configuration includes the SMART cartridge, a multi-stage blend of coconut-shell granulated activated carbon (including catalytic carbon), Eagle Redox Alloys 9500 and 6500, ion exchange and anion exchange resin, and ceramic and tourmaline balls. The Double adds a carbon block cartridge, and the Triple adds a sediment cartridge as well.
Choose 1" or 1-1/2" ports, and add the powder-coated aluminum floor stand if you would rather not drill into a wall.
Key Features
SMART cartridge: Coconut-shell GAC to reduce organic contaminants, bad taste, and odors; ion exchange resin to reduce heavy metals such as lead, copper, and aluminum, and water hardness; a house blend with Eagle Redox Alloys and anion exchange resin to reduce heavy metals, chlorine and chloramine, pesticides and herbicides, pharmaceutical by-products, and petroleum by-products; ceramic and tourmaline balls to maintain a more alkaline pH.
Carbon block cartridge: Reduces volatile organic compounds (VOCs), insecticides, pesticides, and industrial solvents. Included in Double and Triple.
Sediment cartridge: Removes sediment, silt, sand, and dirt. Included in Triple only.
Operation: No electricity and no backwashing.
