The Crystal Quest Guardian Whole House Water Filter sends all the water entering your home through three stages of filtration, from the kitchen tap to the shower and laundry. Choose the 1.5 cubic foot model for 1–3 bathrooms or the 2.0 cubic foot model for 2–4 bathrooms.
A large fiberglass tank holds the carbon media, and when it is time to refresh it, every 5–10 years, you replace the media inside the tank with no additional plumbing and no need to replace the tank itself.
Add the optional salt-free water conditioner if you deal with hard water. It neutralizes minerals so they flow through your system instead of sticking to pipes and dishes, with no brine and no backwash for the conditioner.
Key Features
Stage 1: Two types of coconut-shell granulated activated carbon (premium and catalytic) to reduce heavy metals such as lead and mercury, chlorine, chloramine, herbicides, pesticides, and petroleum and pharmaceutical by-products, if present.
Stage 2: GAC infused with Eagle Redox Alloys 6500, intended to reduce the potential growth of bacteria and algae in the media.
Stage 3: 10" carbon block cartridge that reduces VOCs such as solvents, cleaners, paints, and dyes.
Media replacement: Replace the media inside the tank every 5–10 years.
Valve: Comes standard with a timer valve that runs the backwash schedule on a set number of days.
Salt-free conditioner (optional): Anti-scale media with no brine; for hardness of 25 GPG or higher, a water specialist recommendation is advised.
